Was "web platform" developed through "semantic web"?

AFAICS, Semantic MediaWiki was used, but that isn't the same as the semantic web.

The Semantic Web is a concept where you label data on a website with standardized meanings (an ontology), Semantic MediaWiki is a piece of software that runs on a Web Server that you access via a Web Browser.
